The family behind a St. Martin Parish dance hall is celebrating more than six decades of business.
The celebration is going on until 2 a.m. at PB Dee’s Classic Club Valentine.
The dance hall first opened in 1952 near the Village of Parks. It’s one of the area’s oldest black-owned family business.
While the tradition of dance halls have dwindled over the years, the Ledet family has found a way to outlast the rest, and they’re on a mission to make it a historical landmark.
