The St. Martin Parish Fire District held a graduation ceremony for it’s newest firefighters.
On Wednesday, the graduation ceremony was held St. Martin Parish Fire District Training Facility in Breaux Bridge.
A presentation highlighted the graduates training in the three-month course. Awards were handed out following that presentation.
Officials say the ceremony helps graduates see the community of support from firemen in the parish.
“This is a really big deal for us that they’re able to see the community and firemen from around the parish come together to support them and show them that their step forward as firemen in this parish, how much it means to everybody,” Training Office David Douget said.
