Breaux Bridge High School honored two students who would have graduated tonight.
Malik Filer and Jevon Sonnier died in separate shootings.
Their classmates paid tribute to them with moments of silence.
“They went to school with them for a number of years, and about two years ago, both students lost their lives. We just took a moment of silence at different times in the ceremony to honor them. I know it meant a lot to the students, and I know it also did mean a lot to the families,” said Principal Louis Blanchard.
