Information is being sought in a Tuesday morning shooting in Cecilia that injured one person.
The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s office says that at approximately 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 1100 block of George Dupuis Road.
Investigators say that one victim, a man, sustained two gunshot wounds when an unknown suspect fired at him in the front yard of a home. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition
The victim is still hospitalized, according to deputies.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white SUV. That vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction.
