The St. Martin Parish Council on Aging held its annual crawfish boil today in Breaux Bridge.
Seniors enjoyed some Zydeco music, bingo and door prizes.
But organizers say the most important part is time with each other.
“We have a lot of seniors who are homebound,” said Shanese Lewis, Exec. Director, St. Martin Council On Aging. “And we have a lot of seniors who live in rural areas. And so they don’t get to have much socialization. We get them out, we get them active, we get them having fun and just enjoying the day.”
