St. Martinville Police are searching for a local man accused in a stabbing that happened last week.
Tresmond Jones is wanted in connection with a stabbing that happened Wednesday on Hulin Street, police say.

Officers were called to the 200 block of the street to find that a person had been stabbed and transported to a local hospital, police say. As of Sunday, the victim was listed in stable condition at a Lafayette hospital.
Investigators identified Jones as the suspect, and there now is a warrant for his arrest on one count each of home invasion, aggravated second-degree batter and attempted second-degree murder.
Police consider Jones to be armed and dangerous.
