A Breaux Bridge couple was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into a stolen vehicle.
This morning, investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office say they executed a search warrant at the residence of 39-year-old Cedrick Landry and 37-year-old Jessica Batiste in the 3400 block of Grandpoint Hwy in Breaux Bridge.

That warrant was in reference to an investigation regarding an October 4, 2018, stolen vehicle complaint.
Officials say that the couple transported the stolen vehicle to a local scrap yard on December 1, 2018, where the vehicle was salvaged after the contents and parts were removed.
Investigators also say they recovered a stolen 2018 UTV, which was previously reported stolen out of Avoyelles Parish, on January 03, 2019. They also alleged that the couple was operating a used car lot on their property, which they were not licensed to operate.
Landry and Batiste were arrested and charged as follows:
Cedrick Landry
- 2 counts of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, over $5,000.00 (Felony)
- 1 count of Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies (Felony)
- 1 count of Possession of Schedule I C.D.S. (Marijuana) (Misdemeanor)
Jessica Batiste
- 1 count of Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)
Both were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. No bond has been set and the investigation remains ongoing.
