It’s been one week since The New York Times published its article, accusing T.M. Landry Preparatory of abusing students and lying on students’ college applications.

The school leaders are staying quiet.

Today, KATC’s Chris Welty went to the school to get a response from leaders, and they said nothing. When he arrived at the school, the front doors were locked, and the secretary was not getting up to open the doors.

Last Friday, Michael and Tracey Landry’s lawyers emailed a statement, saying the Landrys are consulting with their attorneys and they plan to provide a press release early next week.

It’s now been one week since that statement was released. This week, Welty called T.M. Landry multiple times, requesting an on-camera interview. The secretary has taken a message, but we never received a callback.

We also reached out to the Landrys’ attorneys several times, but they have not emailed us or called us back.

Tonight, Breaux Bridge police confirm they are looking into more allegations of abuse at the school.

The assistant police chief told KATC his department is also reopening prior claims against the Landrys.
