UPDATE: Louisiana State Police Troop I has confirmed that I-10 East near LA 328 (Breaux Bridge) has reopened. The roadway was closed for several hours this morning following a crash involving an 18-wheeler.
Traffic was being diverted onto I-49 North and then onto Hwy 190 after congestion from the accident caused a significant build-up of traffic.
The Breaux Bridge Police Department and Louisiana State Police were working to clear the scene this morning.
A viewer submitted photo shows the trailer jackknifed in the roadway.
Other photos show the congestion on I-10 as it passed the intersection of I-49 and near the scene of the accident.
