Emergency officials responded to a house fire early Friday morning on Highway 31 in Breaux Bridge.
Officials were unable to share information on the fire, but a relative of the homeowner says that no one was home at the time.
The fire is believed to have originated with a fridge or freezer on the back porch of the home.
