Several committees of the St. Landry School Board meet today, and among the items on the agenda is the renaming of several schools.
The Board’s Buildings, Lands and Sites Committee, Executive Committee and Finance Committee all will meet today. The meetings start at 4 p.m. at the school board office on Creswell Lane. If you want to see the complete agendas for each committee, click here.
On the agenda for the Executive Committee is an item regarding the possible school name changes.
The schools targeted for possible name changes are:
Kindergarten through 8th Grade schools: Washington; Krotz Springs; Lawtell; and Leonville.
Fifth through Eighth grade schools: Plaisance, Arnaudville and Sunset.
