The fifth Annual Jermaine Aaron Memorial Basketball Tournament is underway at Washington Elementary School.
The tournament, which is for kids and adults, lasts until 7 p.m. tonight.
The event is held each year to remember Jermaine Aaron, but also to raise money for Washington Elementary School. It is part of the annual Maestro Day Weekend, a three-day event that included basketball shooting contests and also a Fun Day hosted by the Washington Police Department and hip hop music artist V-LO the Maestro. That event happened Saturday, and included water slides, dunk tanks and other activities.
We have a crew at the tournament and will have more tonight on KATC TV-3.
