A student at Opelousas Junior High School was arrested Friday night for allegedly calling in a bomb threat at the school.
Opelousas police say it happened while the school was hosting an event in their gym.
Officers arrived on scene at 9:30 p.m. The school was evacuated while police searched school grounds with the assistance of K-9 bomb detection officer Beau. They later gave the all-clear.
The juvenile student was booked with communicating false information of a planned bombing on school property.
