The boyfriend of a woman whose body was found dumped in St. Landry Parish has been transferred to the parish jail.

33-year-old Robert Allen McPhearson was transferred from the West Baton Rouge Parish jail on Thursday and booked on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Alana Michelle Zuccaro of Alexandria.

McPhearson was arrested on March 27 by the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office on an unrelated charge. While in custody, McPhearson allegedly voluntarily admitted that he was the last person to see Zuccaro.

Zuccaro had been missing since March 2019 when her body was found April 3. Information on the location of Zuccaro’s body and the circumstances of her death were allegedly reported to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office by McPhearson.

Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says that McPhearson allegedly dumped Zuccaro’s body in a wooded area off Highway 103 in Washington, LA. before fleeing to Baton Rouge.

He was booked on charges in Baton Rouge and then transferred to the St. Landry Parish Jail.
