OPELOUSAS, La. – A 32-year-old Opelousas man has been indicted in the January 10th shooting death of 22-year-old John O’Neil Jason, also of Opelousas.
On April 29, 2019, the St. Landry Parish Grand Jury reported to and filed a true bill against Darrell D. Young for the second degree murder of Jason.
A second-degree murder conviction carries a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
