A suspect wanted for a shooting on Christ the King Road has been arrested along with his girlfriend.
According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, A late night tip from St. Landry Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of attempted murder suspect 27-year-old Michael White, and the re-arrest of White’s girlfriend 26-year-old Brittany Thibodeaux in Sabine Parish.
Thibodeaux was arrested on February 19th 2019 for being an accessory to attempted murder, she bonded out on February 26, 2019 then fled the parish.
Another woman 18-year-old Rayonna Nicole Smith was booked with Principal to Attempted 1st Degree Murder and two counts Principal to Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property in connection with this shooting.
The search continued for Michael White following numerous tips from Crime Stoppers.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, a tip was received last night indicating the whereabouts of White and Thibodeaux in Sabine Parish. Agents acting on the information arrived at the home where White and Thibodeaux were hiding and apprehended the fugitives.
Also recovered during the arrest was a 9mm Sig Sauer semi auto pistol with an extended magazine, and marijuana.
White and Thibodeaux face additional charges with Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office, and are being held for the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. The pistol is the same caliber used on Christ the King Road shooting on February 9, 2019.
White was arrested on the following charges:
- 4 Counts of Attempted 1st Degree murder
- 1 Count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm
- 2 Counts of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.
Sabine Parish SO Charges
- 1 Count of Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Person Under 17
- 1 Count Possession of a Firearm with a CDS
- 1 Count Possession of Schedule I CDS
- Felon in Possession of a Firearm
Thibodeaux has been charged with the following:
- 1 Count of Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Person Under 17
- 1 Count Possession of a Firearm with a CDS
- !Count Possession of Schedule 1 CDS
No bond has been set for White and Thibodeaux.
