St. Landry Crime Stoppers reported about a string of burglaries at Frank Best Marine.

A spokesman for the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office says after the segment aired, tips started rolling in, and one in particular alleged 40-year-old Joshua Billedeau, of Eunice, was involved in a burglary at the business on January 21 when thirteen handguns were stolen.

ATF agents and sheriff’s detectives located Billedeau. Upon questioning, he allegedly admitted to being in possession of a gun and that he purchased the weapon from Madison Boone. Detectives also learned Billedeau was on parole and that he was a convicted felon, prohibiting him from possessing a gun.

Billedeau was arrested and booked in the parish jail.

The spokesman says Boone is known by ATF and law enforcement officers in the parish for his involvement in burglaries.

Last week, Boone was arrested in connection with multiple burglaries. Boone remains in jail.
