A man wanted in connection with a murder in Opelousas last month has been arrested.
Thirty-two-year-old Darrell Young, of Opelousas, is accused of fatally shooting 22-year-old John O’Neil Jason, also of Opelousas.
The shooting happened January 10 on Statesman Road.
According to police, Jason’s body was found along the city’s railroad tracks the next morning.
Young is facing one count of second-degree murder and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.
