The first meeting of the new Opelousas Mayor and Board of Aldermen is happening now.
The regular meeting began at 5 p.m.
Among the items are the agenda are the announcement of the mayor’s appointments, some usual zoning business, and a resolution that would authorize the city to get a VISA card.
