The Eunice Police Department is asking that the public continue to come forward with information in reference to the murder of Scott DaVille.

According to Chief of Police Randy Fontenot, the investigation into the December 27 murder of Scott DaVille is continuing.

“This homicide has hit close to home for us all.  Detectives are working very hard to piece together all evidence to insure nothing is left out or overlooked,” Chief Fontenot said. “We thank all of the citizens who have called in and provided valuable information into this horrific crime. The Family’s cooperation with this investigation has been invaluable and our prayers are with them all.”

Detectives believe that the family was not targeted intentionally, but say the suspects were surprised by the homeowner which resulted in his death. The department says it is working in conjunction with several other agencies that are providing valuable assistance.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Eunice Police Department (337) 457-2626.  All callers will remain anonymous.
