The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office says that their detectives are currently investigating a fatal late-night shooting in Arnaudville.
Detectives say the shooting happened on Monday at 10:43 p.m. in the 500 block of Thomassee Road.
Two people were shot during the incident and are in critical condition. The two people, according to the department, are related. They are currently being treated at a local hospital.
A third person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A friend of the family tells KATC a man shot his son and his wife during an argument before shooting and killing himself.
Deputies identified the deceased and shooter as 42-year-old Damon Knott.
The sheriff’s office says it appears the shooting is a domestic case. No further details are being released at this time.
