The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office says that a substitute teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sex with two students.
Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says that 38-year-old Tara Taylor Richard of Arnaudville was arrested on Monday, December 3 after an investigation into a claim that Richard had inappropriate sexual relations with two male students.
Guidroz says the two students, ages 15 and 16, attended a local high school where Richard worked as a substitute teacher. The incidents, according to Guidroz, did not occur on school property.
The department says that Richard allegedly admitted to having sex with the students during the summer of 2018.
Richard was arrested and booked on charges of 4 Counts of Felony Carnal Knowledge of Juvenile and 1 Count of Oral Sexual Battery.
