The TEAM Automotive Group is planning to open a Honda dealership in St. Landry Parish next year.
According to a release from the company, this will be the fourth new-car dealership for TEAM Automotive Group, and the first west of the Atchafalaya Basin. The group hopes to open in Summer 2019.
“We couldn’t be happier for the opportunity for TEAM Honda to expand over into the Acadiana region,” said TEAM General Manager Preston Q-Petersen. “We’ve been trying to put this opportunity together for several years now, and to see it come to fruition and be set to open in the summer of ’19 is going to be a great thing for the TEAM organization, a great thing for the Acadiana region, and we think it will be a great thing for all of the Honda owners that are in the greater Acadiana region.”
The new Team Honda of Acadiana is set to break ground by the end of 2018 on more than seven acres of property just east of I-49 and north of the Harry Guilbeau Road Exit, with construction set to be completed by the end of summer in 2019.
The release describes TEAM Automotive Group as a family owned and operated automotive group that has been based in and serving Baton Rouge and surrounding areas for more than 70 combined years. The auto group consists of TEAM Honda on Siegen Lane, TEAM Toyota on I-12 at the O’Neal Lane exit, TEAM Mazda on Airline Highway, TEAM South Used Cars on Airline Highway, and the TEAM Collision Center on Telsmar Avenue.
