The St. Landry Parish School Board’s executive, buildings and executive committees meet today.
The meetings begin at 4 p.m. at 1013 East Creswell Lane in Opelousas.
On the Executive Committee agenda are discussions about emergency crisis management and student safety plans; bullying policies and several job description changes.
On the agenda for the Buildings, Lands & Sites committee are discussions about a contract for Head Start facilities and the sale of two buildings formerly used at the alternative school. Committee members also may discuss constructing a bypass road at Lawtell Elementary for the car rider line.
On the agenda for the Finance committee is a pay raise of $3 per hour for Head Start bus drivers, increasing pay from $12 per hour to $15 per hour, and a pay raise for part-time bus attendants from $7.75 per hour to $10 per hour. Also on the agenda is a discussion of a possible cost of living increase for the Head Start Program and a review of last month’s Head Start financials.
