UPDATE: As of October 10, this boil order has been lifted.
Earlier this week, the Plaisance Water System issued the following:
A water line break has been repaired, but now some customers of the Plaisance Water System are under a boil order.
Because water pressure dropped in the area while the repairs were being done, all customers north of Thomas Avenue and Belle Ridge must boil their water before consuming.
The boil order is precautionary, while water is tested to be sure it is safe. The system will announce when the order is lifted.
Customers must boil all tap water for one full minute before consuming or using for cooking, brushing teeth, etc.
