Officials with Plaisance Elementary say that the school will be closed Thursday, October 4, 2018, due to a ruptured pipe.
The ruptured pipe which is on the Plaisance Water System has not been found or repaired, according to officials. The St. Landry School system will continue to monitor the situation and inform the public of any changes.
Officials say that those alerts will be sent out via social media as well as local news.
All staff members are asked to report to work Thursday morning as normal.
