A teenager was killed and her boyfriend was injured last night by a hit-and-run driver in Opelousas.

The 17-year-old female who died has not been identified by police. Friends have identified her as Diamonesha Guillory.

“She just made a video on Facebook, where she was basically pleading out that she didn’t want bad blood with nobody. She wanted to make peace with everybody,” family friend Loquacious Jones said.

Guillory shared a video online of her reciting a poem. The teenager spoke about forgiveness, faith and heaven. “When I got the news I was beyond devastated. She just left my house,” Jones said.

Guillory’s family and friends wonder what may have happened if the driver wouldn’t have sped off.

“Maybe she could have made it,”Jones said. “We have to stand and be her voice to make sure justice gets served.”
