St. Landry Crime Stoppers: Help needed in solving burglaries

St. Landry Crime Stoppers is asking for your help in solving a rash of burglaries in St. Landry Parish.

Video surveillance captured suspects who committed five burglaries at Falcon Engine Services and Louisiana Truck Parts in the Port Barre area.

More than $26,000 in merchandise and cash were stolen from Falcon Engine Services in Mary and June in 2018. The stolen property included grinders, cutting torches, gauges, and saws.

In June and August 2018, Louisiana Truck Parts was burglarized where 50 vehicle batteries and battery cores were stolen totaling more than $2,000. Union Pacific Railroad officials are also investigating wire thefts in the area valued at $43,000 dollars. Detectives believe these burglaries are connected.
