Beginning Thursday, April 16, SouthStar Urgent Care will launch rapid testing for COVID-19 at 20 clinics across Louisiana.
SouthStar says the Rapid Definitive Molecular Testing will provide results for patients within a matter of minutes.
The testing is available to all patients on an in-house provider assessment per CDC guidance.
The clinic says that walk-ins will be accepted at all SouthStar locations, 7 days a week.
A Safe Waiting Zone system has been set up by the clinic to allow patients to wait in their vehicles before being seen.
Telehealth services are also available.
SouthStar has locations in New Iberia, Lafayette, Abbeville, Eunice, Opelousas, Marksville, Oakdale, Ville Platte, Bastrop, Minden, Gramercy, Winnsboro, Springhill, Slidell, Many, Farmerville, Vidalia, Scott, and AHS Walk-In Clinic in Youngsville.
