The South Louisiana Community Health Summit was held today at the Heymann Performing Arts Center in Lafayette. The event was presented by Beacon Community Connections.
The Health Summit is an opportunity for people to access the latest healthcare data and technology. Participants will evaluate current data, capitalize on collaborative relationships, and begin crafting an effective strategy to positively impact community health outcomes.
The summit included a session on "Actional Challenges and Opportunities in Healthcare" with Kelly Craig, the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer with Camden Health and a luncheon with a keynote speech by the Chief Medical Officer of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana.
Beacon Community Connections is a non-profit that works with social service organizations, criminal justice agencies, healthcare groups, and other community partners to improve health outcomes in Acadiana.
