LAFAYETTE, La. — The South Louisiana Community College announced on Thursday that it had received a resignation letter for its chancellor, Dr. Natalie Harder, and is now searching for her replacement.

In Harder's letter, she commends SLLC staff for their resiliency and adaptability in reframing operations and instruction/training in just a few short days as the COVID-19 pandemic overturned business as usual for SLCC and its students.

Harder also reveals that she has accepted a job offer as president of Coker University in South Carolina and her last day with SLCC will be May 29.

"I have no doubt that Everyday Excellence will continue at SLCC and you will continue to show the world what outstanding service to each other and students can mean in a community and a region," Harder states in the letter. "Indeed, your work is the standard for my work and I would not be the person I am today without the influence of each and every one of you."
