No arrest made in search for suspect in stolen vehicle chase

UPDATE (8:40 P.M.): State Police have identified the suspect in Thursday's stolen car chase in the Arnaudville area as Michael Stelly.

Troopers say Stelly abandoned the car and ran into the woods, leading to a manhunt. Stelly has not yet been captured.

Police have called off the search for Stelly. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Stelly is asked to call Arnaudville Police.

ORIGINAL STORY: State Police say that the suspect in Thursday morning's stolen car chase has not been captured.

A warrant will be requested for the individual.

That suspect led police on a chase in the Arnaudville area in an alleged stolen car.

The suspect left the vehicle and escaped on foot,

Residents in the area were asked to remain in their homes while the search was underway.

Those in the area told KATC that the search took place near Thomassee Road in the Arnaudville area.
