Rayne FEMA center closing Wednesday; DRC hours shift for holidays

The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Rayne is closing its doors for good on Wednesday.

The center, located at 403 Fourth Street, will close on December 23 at 5 p.m.

Statewide, centers will be closed Dec. 24 through 27 in observance of Christmas. The centers will reopen Dec. 28 at 8 a.m.

No appointments are necessary. Centers are open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. They are closed on Sundays.

Louisiana hurricane survivors may visit any other DRC in the state. To locate the nearest center or check hours of operation, visit: egateway.fema.gov/ESF6/DRCLocator. DRCs are operated by FEMA and the Governor's Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness.

Survivors do not need to visit a center to apply for federal assistance or update applications. To apply, ask questions or submit information:
