These event will be to honor George Floyd and bring awareness to racial injustice and police brutality in the United States.

Lafayette Parish
"The Mothers of Avanti Drive" will hold a memorial for George Floyd on Friday, June 12 at 6:00 pm. They will stand in silence for 8 min and 46 seconds in remembrance.

Saturday June 13, 2020
Acadia Parish
A Rally will be held Saturday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m. in Crowley. One group will gather at St Theresa Park on West Third Street and another group will gather at Levy Park on East Third Street. Both groups will march separately towards the courthouse with both groups meeting on Third Street and Parkerson and marching as one body up Parkerson Avenue to the Courthouse Lawn. Once there a small program to be held.
Lafayette Parish
Corner of Johnston Street and Ambassador Caffery near Texas Roadhouse Parking lot.
A peaceful protest will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Vermilion Parish
The March and Rally will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 9:00 am in Abbeville. It will begin at the Mt Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Abbeville and end at the Christian Service Center on Chevis Street. Those wishing to participate are asked to arrive by 8:30 a.m.

Lafayette Parish
A peaceful protest will be held in the Girard Park area starting at 5:00 p.m. Lafayette Police say several roads near Girard Park will be closed at that time. The Student Action & Organizing Committee (SAOC) and the Acadiana Coalition against Social Injustice (ACSI) will be marching from the Maurice Heymann Memorial to the pavilion at the east end of Girard Park. The protest will end at 7:00 pm
