What would you do if you won the Powerball or Mega Millions lottery?

Maybe you'd go on a trip, spend it all in one day, or perhaps you'd help those you care about most.

As both jackpots exceed $500 million ahead of the next drawings this weekend, we wanted to find out just what you would do if you took home the millions.

Donna Boullion, who we found shopping at Rouse's, said she would donate some of the money to church charities and some to the school she works at.

Gregory Brown, meanwhile, would want to start his own business and then go on a cruise.

Next we spoke with student Adam McCarthy, whose plans included saving the money for college, as he plans to attend LSU.

Finally, Roland Shello said he would buy himself a house - after he bought one for his mother, of course.

The Powerball prize has increased to $640 million ahead of the next drawing on Saturday, January 16. Meanwhile, the Mega Millions is a whopping $750 million, the fifth largest prize in U.S. history. That drawing is set to take place on Friday night.

And although we had a variety of answers from individuals that we talked to, we think one thing remains quite clear: a whole lot of folks here in Acadiana are quite selfless. In fact, one lady we spoke to graciously went out of her way to buy meteorologist Bradley Benoit a Mega Millions ticket. Gotta love it!
