Rosie Belle Robicheaux is celebrating a special birthday - 100!
Robicheaux was born on September 4, 1919 and is known as "Mawmaw" to most people. She lives in New Iberia.
She ran a day care in her home with her daughter Lou.
Family and friends hosted a 100th birthday celebration for Robicheaux at the VFW Hall at 1907 Jefferson Terrace in New Iberia.
The party lasted from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Some of the people attending her party are those who were in her care as kids. Some are as old as 50 now.
One man explained the influence Rosie Robicheaux had on his life.
"She's certainly been an influence on my life...she's taught us hard work, patience, kindness, hard work...we all live with her words and her deeds everyday."
