Surveys are being sent out to families across Acadiana to see who has access to computers or devices, as well as internet connectivity.

KATC reached out to Lafayette Parish and other school districts - as of right now, there are no plans to close schools.

One superintendent tells us he expects home learning to be put into place in the near future.

Several sources have told KATC there is a major meeting Friday in Baton Rouge with school officials, emergency, responders, and leaders across the state to discuss the next steps.

Several universities across Louisiana have decided to move to online courses amid concerns over COVID-19. UL has made no decision as of Thursday night.
