Local non profit organizations partner for digital shorts on mental health

LAFAYETTE, La. — Through the Justice and Health Collaborative, Beacon Community Connections and The Family Tree have partnered to bring the first in a series of short, informative videos on mental health issues related to COVID19 to Acadiana.

According to a release from Beacon Community Connections, the first Mental Health Digital Short focuses on trauma that many front-line workers may be experiencing.

The first short is titled "Talking About Trauma for Front Line Workers: A Mental Health Short," features Dr. Holly Howat, executive director of Beacon Community Connections, and provides information on signs and symptoms as well as community resources.
