City of Crowley Veterans Day Program 2019 Saluting All Who Have Served will be held Sunday, November 10, 2019, 3:00 pm at the Historic Rice Theatre 323 North Parkerson Ave Crowley.

The City of New Iberia will be hosting a Veterans Day ceremony Monday evening. The event will honro veterans with proclamations, 21 gun salute, flag raising and prayer service.
The ceremony begins at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Bouligny Plaza located at 102 W. Main Street.

LAFAYETTE PARISH

Red, White, and Blue Monday! - A Veterans Day Celebration and Lantern Parade
A Veterans Day Celebration and Lantern Parade in Downtown Lafayette will be held on Monday, November 11. Red, White, and Blue Monday! begins at 5:30 p.m. at Parc San Souci with live music, free hot dogs and a free lantern making activity for children. At 6:30 p.m. a parade of children with lanterns, veterans, and participants will walk to Rock 'n Bowl de Lafayette led by the Veteran Grand Marshal of the parade.
Local veterans will be honored with awards and continue the celebration with music from Jourdan Thibodeaux, Cedric Watson, and the Blue Monday House Band, while enjoying the Blue Plate Special of red beans and rice. Entry to Rock 'n Bowl is free for veterans and children 12 and under, and veterans also eat free. General admission is $10 or $20 for entry plus Blue Plate Special. Partial proceeds will benefit our highlighted veteran organization, 2 Navy Vets Foundation. Parents are encouraged to make lanterns and bring them to the parade, or visit the Children's Museum of Acadiana, where with admission you can create a lantern in the ReUSEum. Twin Peaks is showing appreciation to its armed forces on Monday, November 11 with select free menu items. The items offered are Chicken Tenders, Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich, Cheeseburger and The Wedge Salad.

Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel offering free $20 food credit to veterans, active military
Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel is inviting all veterans and active U.S. service members to enjoy a free $20 food credit to any of its restaurants in honor of Veterans Day.
"For the second year, Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel will offer a $20 food credit to honor all those who served and continue to serve our country. We are thrilled to provide our veterans and active service members with such a generous benefit," said Richard Picard, Director of Public Relations and Advertising at Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel.
On Monday, November 11, 2019, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. all veterans - including all active, retired, or former U.S. Military - are invited to take advantage of the limited-time offer.
Guests must visit Club Cypress to receive the $20 food credit with a valid ID and proof of service. Proof of service includes military or VA card, or discharge papers. A free Club Cypress membership is required to redeem the offer.

The Morgan City Municipal auditorium will be hosting a Veterans Day Ceremony starting at 11:00 a.m. At Cypress Park.
The event will be honoring all veterans and is sponsored by The City of Morgan City and VFW Post 4222.

VERMILION PARISH

The Louisiana Military Museum will host an Open House on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 10 am to 4 pm in honor of Veteran's Day. This event is free and open to the public. They are located at 911 Revis Sirmon Loop Abbeville, LA 70510.
For the past several months, the museum has been working to rebrand, redesign, and restructure itself in order to continue its tradition of honoring veterans. To update the public on their progress, as well as share their vision for the future, the museum will host their Veteran's Day Open House that they hope to be an annual event.
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy giveaways and light refreshments as they tour the museum. BrandRusso will unveil the new museum logo they created. Structure Architecture will share their updated plans for future exhibit designs and proposed facility expansion. Veterans and current members of the Armed Forces are encouraged to bring in copies of their military records for inclusion in the Louisiana Military Database, a program hosted by the museum containing more than 5,000 participants.
During the open house the museum will also provide free digital copies of any photos or documents guests would like to bring in and have scanned. Visitors will keep their original materials, but the museum will give participating guests a disc with digitized versions of their documents to duplicate or share with friends and family members.
Guests are invited to come in uniform or wear patriotic attire while supporting the Louisiana Military Museum's mission to continue "Honoring our Veterans. Remembering their Stories."
Dr. Elista Istre, Consultant for the Louisiana History Museum, said, "We hope that [people] come away with a greater appreciation for the sacrifice that a lot of our veterans have made for this country. Our mission as a museum is to honor our veterans and remember their stories."
