A voter registration tour aimed at formerly incarcerated people who are now eligible to vote will be coming through Acadiana this week.
The drive, conducted by Voice of the Experienced (VOTE) and Black Voters Matter, kicks off today in Baton Rouge. The drive targets people who are now eligible to vote because of Ac 636, which allows people who are
off probation or parole; have been on parole for at least five years; or are on probation and haven’t received a new conviction.
The voter registration bus will make the following stops:
