Lafayette Consolidated Government has received four proposals to redevelop the Buchanan Street parking garage.

According to the Acadiana Advocate, three of those plans call for a mix of residential and commercial use.
The fourth plan proposes a public-private partnership to repair the garage.
The six-story parking tower was closed in October due to safety concerns. The garage served as parking for workers at the adjacent Lafayette Parish courthouse.
