LAFAYETTE, La. – Six to eleven year old children teed off today at the Sheriff Mark Garber Youth Golf Tournament at the Hebert Municipal Golf Course in Lafayette.
Everything they need to play the game is provided at the municipal course for free.
Tomorrow, 12 to 17 year old kids will play.
“It’s really great for the community, it builds a relationship between the kids as well as law enforcement, again they get introduced to a new sport and they just farewell,” said Major Jules Broussard.
