Grand Jury indicts man in second slaying

Posted

A Lafayette Parish grand jury has indicted Traven Solomon for the second time for murder.

In this case, Solomon was indicted in connection with the November 2018 slaying of Robert Felix in Scott. He’s accused of second-degree murder in that case. If convicted, he faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole, probation or suspension of sentence.

When Felix was slain, Solomon was out on bond, awaiting trial in the June 2015 slaying of Damien Champ. Solomon also was indicted on a charge of second-degree murder in that case in June 2016.
