The Acadiana Roller Derby is holding a fundraiser this summer, and has set their 10th anniversary celebration.
The fundraiser is a bike and car wash, set for July 20. It will be at Cajun Harley Davidson from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., with a $7 donation suggested for cars and a $5 donation for motorcycles. There also will be a bake sale. You get more info on the Derby’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
In August, the Derby celebrates its 10th anniversary with a bout against the Pensacola Roller Gurlz.
That will be at Blackham Coliseum on August 3, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance. Kids 12 and younger get in free. Tickets are $12 at the door, but students and veterans with current ID can get $10 tickets at the door.
