The City of Scott City is reissuing utility bills to residents due to a printing error.
City officials sent out a notice of the reprints earlier this week. The notice alerts residents that the reprint is due to an error while printing the original bills.
Residents are responsible for paying the portion of the bill that is circled in red, according to the notice. A failure to pay that circled amount by June 20 will result in the application of a $5 late fee to the overall bill.
The full notice from the City follows:
“Due to an error in the printing of the bills you will be receiving a new Utility Bill in a few days. The area circled in red is the current portion of your bill. If you pay after the 20th a $5.00 fee will be applied.”
