St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will hold its annual French Language Service on Sunday, May 26 at 6:00pm.

This celebration honors our local cultural heritage while providing a rich opportunity to learn about liturgy, language, and the diversity of St. Barnabas and the Episcopal Church, organizers say.

The worship will be conducted entirely in French with parishioners serving as Worship Leaders. The service will be enlivened by French hymns and anthems. The St. Barnabas choir will be accompanied by a string quartet led by Lauren Baker, along with additional voices from the Ascension Episcopal Church choir, organizers say.

“The French Mass is a special reflection of our culture and heritage, as well as a beautiful celebration of la grâce du bon dieu (God’s grace),” says St. Barnabas congregant and French Immersion teacher, Kirby Jambon.

The Acadiana community is welcome to join the congregation of St. Barnabas for this celebration of the Holy Eucharist through the French language. St. Barnabas Episcopal Church is located at 400 Camellia Blvd. in Lafayette.
