The family and friends of an Acadiana man are rallying behind him as he copes with ALS.
Joe Minix was diagnosed with ALS, also know as Lou Gehrig’s disease, in 2018.
Minix’s supporters held a fundraiser for him Saturday.
They say the way he takes on life despite his diagnosis is inspiring.
Minix was able to communicate with KATC via an iPad. He asks the he and his family continue to receive prayers and that he will continue to pray for others.
KATC’s Katie Lopez spoke to Minix and his wife three months after his diagnosis. For that story, click here.
