Another north Lafayette business has announced that it will close its doors.
The Advocate reports that the Taco Bell located at 1224 NE Evangeline Thruway will close. An announcement was made on the closure last week.
This closure comes after Walmart Supercenter and Sam’s Southern Eatery both closed earlier this year. The Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission will also move from its location on the Evangeline Thruway to offices downtown.
A spokesperson with Morgan City-based B&G Food Enterprises tells The Advocate that the final decision regarding the store will be made by July 1.
There are currently 10 Taco Bell locations in Lafayette Parish.
Several stores have made their exit from north Lafayette within the last few years. KATC’s Dannielle Garcia reported on the growing number of vacant buildings in the area.
