The Bus Stop Bistro is now open, and the business hosted a ribbon-cutting this morning.
After operating as a food truck, the Bus Stop, for about five years, there’s now a “brick and mortar” location at 3823 N University Avenue in Carencro, formerly the Fricassée Café.
That’s the term – brick and mortar – but the building is actually an historic old house said owner Jay Thornhill.
The restaurant has been open for a few weeks as the team got accustomed to running a restaurant again, but today was the official grand opening, Thornhill said.
The restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and Friday and Saturday nights from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Bus Stop Bistro is serving a full menu and full bar, Thornhill said.
