Awards were handed out today, marking the end of Lafayette’s spring Healthy Kids Running Series. We’ll have more tonight at 10 p.m.
The program takes place in the spring and fall at Thomas Park. It was created to provide kids a positive, educational, and fun experience in the world of running, aimed at combating increasing rates of childhood obesity in America. Organizers hope the program encourages kids to adopt a “Get Up and Go” attitude.
